Several top Australian Scrabblers are involved in the inaugural Letters and Numbers television quiz show. Edward Okulicz (WESPA ratings chair) is a co-producer, and top Australian players such as Andrew Fisher (WESPA treasurer), Esther Perrins, and Naween Fernando take part, all three beating the other competition hands-down. The concept is based on the long-running 'Countdown' show in the UK, for which former Scrabble world champ Mark Nyman was a producer.
