iPhone app for Zyzzyva

Michael Thelen is overwhelmed at the response to his call for financial help for converting his Zyzzyva program to an iPhone app. He says he met his initial funding goal within 24 hours of making his announcement and had nearly tripled it within a month.

On 1 April, he announced that he had received a total of 121 contributions from 13 countries — including 27 US states, four Canadian provinces and four Australian states. WESPA also contributed US$250 on behalf of tournament players worldwide.

Thelen has now begun work on the app and has already created a "visually pleasing word judge". He hopes to complete the app, including testing, by the end of August. Read more at zyzzyva.net/iphone/
