Apply for Rating

Official guide to the WESPA tournament rating process and application.

Before the tournament

  • Review WESPA Ratings Eligibility Criteria here.
  • WESPA has introduced a Year-to-Date (YTD) points system to recognise player performance across tournaments. Events are classified as Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Others. Organisers can review Eligibility Criteria here.
  • Submit your tournament's rating application (using the form at the bottom of this page) at least 30 days before the event date.
  • Provide WESPA with any helpful promotional materials.
  • Inform WESPA of any changes to the original details provided during application.

After the tournament

  • Submit tournament rating files to ratings@wespa.org within 72 hours.
  • Rating levy:
    1. $1 per player for tournaments affiliated with Wespa members.
    2. $2 per player otherwise.
    3. Minimum rating levy of $10.
    4. If the main tournament is rated, early-bird and late birds will each be charged a flat fee of $10, regardless of the number of players.
  • Pay rating levies due to WESPA within 14 days. Payment Link.
  • A Late charge of 20% will be applied after 14 days.

Rating Process

Make sure all your tasks are organized so you can set the priorities and focus on important.

Acceptance

Applications are reviewed and accepted by the WESPA Committee.

Processing

Applications are handled and responded to within five working days.

Listing

Listed on the WESPA Calendar within three days of approval.

Compliance

Online events must use an approved monitoring system.

Please confirm that all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  • This tournament complies with WESPA's Tournament Eligibility Criteria.
  • Rating data will be shared to ratings@wespa.org within 72 hours after the tournament is completed, and rating fees will be paid within 14 days of tournament.
  • There are no unpaid WESPA rating levies from previous tournaments I have organized.
  • This tournament will have an experienced Tournament Director who is conversant with WESPA's Latest Rules.
  • This tournament is open to anyone who wants to participate. If there are any restrictions then please specify in the text box below.
