Registration Fee

The registration fee for the WESPA Open 2026 is EUR 255 per player and includes:

• Championship entry levy.
• Tea breaks & Lunch.
• Branded event shirt.
• Awards gala dinner ticket.
• Entry into a raffle draw for free registration in 2027.

Timeline

1. Registration Deadline: November 16th, 2026.
2. Arrival: December 1st, 2026.
3. Event Dates: December 2nd - 5th, 2026.
4. Award/Gala Night: December 5th, 2026.
5. Departure: December 6th, 2026.

Cancellation notice received on or before November 16th, 2026 will be refunded less 10%. Anything beyond that, no refund.

Divisions

Players will be placed into divisions based on WESPA rating cut-off points:

1. Division A: 1800+
2. Division B: 1600 – 1800
3. Division C: Below 1600

Awards Ceremony & Travel Advisory

The Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner will take place on the evening of Saturday, 5 December. Players are encouraged to plan their departure for Sunday, 6 December.

Prizes

A generous star prize has been earmarked for the Top Division. Prize funds across all three divisions will depend significantly on the number of registered participants and/or sponsorship secured for the event. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top eight finishers in each division. Additional spot prizes and class prizes may also be available.

Livestream

The championship will be broadcast live on the official WESPA YouTube channel from start to finish, in partnership with Lets Play Scrabble for production.

Playing Equipment

Players are expected to come with their playing equipment (Scrabble boards, clocks, racks, tiles, bags and other accessories) to facilitate the smooth running of the tournament. WESPA will look to cover any equipment shortage for the tournament.
